The bassline is played by the organ player. He plays it with his foot, which you can clearly see during his solo.

MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm....? Not so sure. Scofield is more harmonically interesting, but he's rhythmically clueless in a funk groove. Back to Benson for me!
